THE INFERIORITY OF MEN: Are men afraid of smarter women…?

Are men afraid of smarter women? Well, it actually depends on the character of the man you are talking about. This is a double-edged sword. There are men who are afraid of smarter women in a way that these men do not like to feel inferior – it has been proven that this is men’s natural instinct – the strong will survive and the week must die. Yet there are also men whom just love smart women, as they like to be intellectually challenged by the weaker sex. But then again, from one perspective, men usually marry the smarter women because they were unaware of it. Women mostly have a funny character – men on the other hand are easily attracted to women that managed to make them laugh – and this personality works in hiding their intellectual smartness.

Women know men like to feel superior, so they hide their intelligence to an extent but for the same reason they don’t like to be looked down. So, women play a game of hardball, hide and seek – which sometimes make the men do not understand women – their intelligence are revealed when the men are least expected. Nevertheless, these games are not noticeable to some men; it is bad when women’s intellect remains hidden.

To be logical, men would of course prefer smarter women. The matter is that most men fear that smart women may actually turn out to be bossy and that the men may loose their position. So where would the phrase “Kings and
Queens” will end up? Will this phrase finally be re-phrased opposite?

But then again, there is a funny thing about the human race in general is that when you are weak, the society will look down upon you. Imagine when a man becomes jobless – retrenched or unemployed – the society’s eyes would be different on him. This man loses his influential capability, respect and even friends. People may not say as they would just smile in front of you but in their actions, in subtle ways, you would realize that you are looked down upon. You would be excluded from important discussions, giving you less work – which might sound fun, but it actually is a psychological way to make you feel that you have lost certain amount of their trusts – they’ll give you fewer responsibilities and many other actions that the heart may notice, in such discrete manners, many do not understand. The same goes to men who had more superior and smarter women for life. The same inferiority might be felt in some circumstances, no matter how hard a man tries to deny.

Smart women are usually independent women, which mean that they don’t rely on the protection or support of men. Some men dislike this fact as this makes them feel more left-behind as their wives can leave them anytime and that they are not needed as what traditional marriages should be. In fact, independence is actually a plus point for women – women all over the world many decades ago have fought hard, claiming for their independence and to be known not as a second class population after the men.

To see this in an optimist’s eye, a woman who does not rely on men are actually helping the marriage to last longer in the sense that if the woman is not pleased, then the man will try his best to rectify the problem. This makes the marriage worth while as, if one slacks off in a marriage and communication is lost – and the feeling is gone – then marriage will lost its meaning and the loyalty people have known goes extinct. As to my conclusion, men are inferior to have a smart woman, but not because the woman is smart, but what would become from that. The intelligence of a woman will link to many paths, and men are actually afraid of the uncertainties – what the future holds.
